[origin: EP0659367A1] In a household appliance for mounting in a kitchen unit (10) with a plinth set back with respect to the front of the kitchen and with a recess for inserting the appliance, the housing of which likewise has a plinth (22) which serves to receive appliance aggregates (sets of appliances) or the like and is equipped with air ducts which serve for ventilation of the appliance aggregates and emerge from and enter the plinth of the appliance, in a plane parallel to the opening plane of the recess, through openings which are covered by a ventilation grille (33) capable of being adapted to the set-back plinth of the adjacent pieces of kitchen furniture, the ventilation grille (33) is adjustable, for the purpose of its adaptation, in terms of guidance, in a substantially continuously displaceable manner on mutually adjoining supporting elements formed, with respect to the guiding length, partly by the appliance plinth and partly by the recess, the two parts having a step relative to one another. <IMAGE>
