[origin: EP0659654A2] A box-like package, in particular for pourable products, consists of a cardboard sleeve which is closed at the bottom or of a multilayer lamination of cardboard and/or plastic and/or metal and a cup-shaped lid which can be inserted in the sleeve and has a bottom, an essentially cylindrical side wall bearing against the inner side of the sleeve, and an upper annular part which has, on the outside, a step resting on the end face of the sleeve and a gripping edge drawn inwards. Such a package can be produced cost-effectively and in a segregated design in that the cup-shaped lid consists of a thermoformed part, comprising its bottom and side wall and made of cardboard or a cardboard lamination, and a separately produced annular part connected to the thermoformed part.
