Abstract (en)
The present invention relates to the field of gas-generating pyrotechnic compositions intended for motor vehicle safety. The compositions according to the invention include: - an oxygen-containing thermoplastic binder and especially an aliphatic block copolymer of formula: <IMAGE> in which: PA is a polyamide block, PE is a polyether block, n is a number between 2 and 10, - an energetic plasticiser which is a polyglycidyl azide, - an oxidising filler consisting, in the case of at least 85 % of its weight, of ammonium nitrate. The compositions according to the invention burn without solid residues and can be employed in gas generators without a filtration chamber.

La présente invention se rapporte au domaine des compositions pyrotechniques génératrices de gaz destinées à la sécurité automobile. Les compositions selon l'invention comprennent : un liant thermoplastique oxygéné et notamment un copolymère aliphatique bloc de formule : <IMAGE> dans laquelle : PA est un bloc polyamide, PE est un bloc polyéther, n est un nombre compris entre 2 et 10, un plastifiant énergétique qui est un polyazoture de glycidyle, une charge oxydante constituée pour au moins 85% de son poids par du nitrate d'ammonium Les compositions selon l'invention brûlent sans résidus solides et peuvent être utilisées dans des générateurs de gaz sans chambre de filtration.
