[origin: EP0660273A2] The operational lists normally used in the homing pigeon sport are commercially available as form blocks or as endless sheets which must be filled out manually by means of a document-related writing implement for the competitors actually used. This is cumbersome and subject to errors. The operating device for the electronic statement is therefore designed at the same time to carry out, via an adapted keyboard (supported by menu guidance of the display) desired betting inputs for the participants intended to be used in the competition, which inputs, in the case of preprogrammed owner names, only consist in the electronic reading out of the pigeon identification number and in the selection of the desired betting system; these predetermined data being automatically supplemented by the electronically detected arrival time when the participant arrives.
