Improvements to electrical connector housing elements of the type comprising a body (1) having a channel (2) which is intended to receive an electrical contact member (4) crimped to one end of a conductor (5), and a cap (2) having, on its bottom (24), at least one hole (25) for passage of the conductor (5), characterised in that the cap (2) is partly filled with a self-healing plastic and means are provided for keeping the said cap (2) in a standby position in which it is away from the rear end of the body (1) for installing the electrical contact member (4) through the self-healing material (30) and in a locking position in which, after installing the contact member (4), the self-healing material is compressed between the bottom of the cap and the rear end (14) of the said body (1). <IMAGE>

Perfectionnements aux éléments de boîtiers de connecteurs électriques du type comprenant un corps (1) présentant un canal (2) destiné à recevoir un organe de contact électrique (4) serti à une extrémité d'un conducteur (5) et un couvercle (2) présentant, sur son fond (24), au moins un trou (25) pour le passage du conducteur (5), caractérisés en ce que le couvercle (2) est en partie rempli d'une matière plastique autocicatrisante et des moyens sont prévus pour maintenir ledit couvercle (2) dans une position d'attente dans laquelle il est éloigné de l'extrémité arrière du corps (1) pour la mise en place de l'organe de contact électrique (4) à travers la matière autocicatrisante (30) et dans une position de verrouillage dans laquelle, après la mise en place de l'organe de contact (4), la matière autocicatrisante se trouve comprimée entre le fond du couvercle et l'extrémité arrière (14) dudit corps (1). <IMAGE>
