Abstract (en)
[origin: WO9501931A1] An individually conveyed sheet (1) is picked up at its upper side by a vacuum conveyor (3) and taken over a substrate. During transport, the rear section (5) of a sheet is lowered from the transport plane and braked by a braking system, e.g. a band (8). The sheet end may be lowered by mechanical or pneumatic means or solely by means of the pressure differences occurring during conveyance. The sheet is braked until it is completely released from the vacuum conveyor and falls on the substrate or on a stack (13).
