The invention comprises a rotating body (1), in particular the impeller of a gas turbine, a housing (2) and a sealing gap (3) located therebetween. The body (1) is of rotationally symmetrical construction relative to an axis (4) of rotation. The housing has an annular region (20) which surrounds the body concentrically. The sealing gap, which is arranged inside the annular region, has labyrinthine structural elements (14, 140). According to the invention, the surface regions (11) of the rotating body are of composite type at the sealing gap. The composite (12, 13) comprises a metallic matrix (12) with a structured ceramic (13) embedded therein. Parts of the ceramic phase emerge from the composite at the surface as elevations (protuberances) (14), and thereby form the labyrinthine structural elements. <IMAGE>

Die Einrichtung umfasst einen rotierfähigen Körper (1), insbesondere das Laufrad einer Gasturbine, ein Gehäuse (2) und einen dazwischen liegenden Dichtspalt (3). Der Körper (1) ist bezüglich einer Drehachse (4) rotationssymmetrisch ausgebildet. Das Gehäuse weist einen ringförmigen Bereich (20) auf, der den Körper konzentrisch umschliesst. Der Dichtspalt, der innerhalb des ringförmigen Bereichs angeordnet ist, weist labyrinthartige Strukturelemente (14, 140) auf. Erfindungsgemäss sind die Oberflächenbereiche (11) des rotierfähigen Körpers beim Dichtspalt verbundartig ausgebildet. Der Verbund (12, 13) umfasst eine metallische Matrix (12) mit einer darin eingebetteten strukturierten Keramik (13). Teile der keramischen Phase treten an der Oberfläche als Erhebungen (14) aus dem Verbund heraus und bilden dadurch die labyrinthartigen Strukturelemente. <IMAGE>
