Method for managing the maintenance of a vehicle, associated on-board computer and diagnostic station for performing the method. The method of the invention makes it possible to monitor the wear to members whose condition it is desired to monitor continuously, without requiring real-time storage of all the conditions. To achieve this aim, values representative of the successive wear with each journey are accumulated, and, with each start-up of the vehicle, the stored cumulative value is compared with a threshold for triggering preventive maintenance. <IMAGE>

Procédé de gestion de la maintenance d'un véhicule, ordinateur de bord et station de diagnostic associés mettant en oeuvre le procédé. Le procédé de l'invention permet d'exécuter la surveillance de l'usure d'organes dont on veut surveiller en permanence l'état, sans nécessiter de mémorisation en temps réel de l'ensemble des états. Pour atteindre ce but, on réalise une accumulation de valeurs représentatives de susures successives à chaque trajet, et on compare à chaque démarrage du véhicule la valeur cumulative mémorisée à un seuil de déclenchement de la maintenance préventive. <IMAGE>
