[origin: WO9407357A1] A hybrid strain of Agaricus having the following characteristics : it is interfertile with Agaricus bisporous; its fructifications bear basidia, at least 15 % of which are bisporous; and the majority of the spores borne by said fructifications are homokaryotic; said characteristics being genetically transmissible; method of obtaining said strain and use thereof in obtaining modified strains of Agaricus bisporus.
