[origin: EP0662550A1] A former (1), used in prodn. of ceiling edges during building construction comprises a vertical insulating block(3) with reinforcement. A shank(4) of the reinforcement(2) is anchored in the block (3) and has a section (30) at right angles to it acting as a support for the former (1). The inner face (7) of the block (3) has cut-out (8) with an undercut section for gripping concrete cast against it. The cut-outs (8) are penetrated by the reinforcement(2) and the insulating block (3) projects above the support(30).
