Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0663161A1] The brush is made from a core (2) of two twisted metal wires holding a series of radial bristles (4) and has a surface (8) bounded by edges (9,10). The brush has a section of maximum or minimum diameter between its two ends (5,6), and the edges of the flat surface need not be straight. The width of the flat surface varies from one end of the brush to the other and passes through a section of maximum or minimum width between the two ends. The brush can be in the shape of two truncated cones with their larger ends joining at the point of greatest diameter (7), or else it can be made with two linked curved sections or in the shape of a single cone with a rounded large end.
