[origin: EP0663178A1] The mop holder has two linked flaps (1,2) which overlap in a central section and can be locked in a working position. One of the flaps is fixed and has a holding device (24)) for a handle and the other is formed as a folding flap. A locking mechanism is formed by a stud, on the end of the overlapping section of the fixed flap and a latch which is pivotally mounted on the foldable flap and whose pivot axis is parallel to the pivot axis of the flap. In the locked position the stud engages with a locking projection. The pivot axis of the flap is closer than the locking area (B) from the stud (3) and the locking projection (16) on the link axle (23) of the two flaps (1,2) under the overlapping section (25) of the holder flap (2). An elastically sprung attachment (12) exerts restoring force on the latch and has an elastically sprung connecting arm (18). A stop piece (14) restricts the pivot movement of the latch.
