[origin: EP0663246A1] Rolling mill stand with two work rolls supported in bearing blocks, upper and lower support rolls and, if required, intermediate rolls between work and support rolls, where the work rolls are mounted adjustably in a vertical plane and one of the roll pairs has a roll bowing mechanism for bowing the rolls in a plane parallel to the direction of rolling. Each bearing block (3.1,3.2) of the work rolls (2) is mounted in the frame opening (1) pivotable about a central vertical axis and each work roll (2) can be bowed about the vertical axes (X) in a horizontal plane parallel to the direction of rolling.
