[origin: DE4401153C1] The thread-sealing machine has a lower endless conveying member (21) carrying the folded sheets and two endlessly rotating upper conveying members (11, 31) which are connected in series and of which that located on the folded-sheet entry side covers the thread-staple formation region and the following one located on the folded-sheet exit side is assigned to the heating rail (25) for the thread-staple sealing. As a result of the separation of the functional regions thread-staple formation and thread sealing, fault sources arising from the heat-sealing region are ruled out in the thread-staple formation. <IMAGE>
