Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0663361A2] A paper carrying drum roller for a paper machine comprises a driven load-bearing drum (1), and tambour (2) where its axis is parallel to the drum axis and is arranged to swing around the drum circumference, and a guide roller (4), e.g. a broad reach roller, inserted in front of the drum. A pressure roller (5) is assigned to press on the drum's coating surface with adjustable pressure and here to be able to be positioned within a defined circumferential range on the drum.
