The lower ends (6) of the uprights (4, 5) of the door frame are attached to the metal or plastics sill (2) by screws (8) which pass through openings (15) in a U-shaped groove(10) in the sill. There is a watertight band (23) which consists of a ring-shaped flange (26) and a watertight seal in the form of an O-ring (27) placed between the flange and the sill. The ring shaped flange has a groove (29) to take the seal (27). A tubular sleeve (30) is attached to the ring-shaped flange and passes through the openings in the sill. The screws are shaped like a flattened cone (36) so that when they are tightened they make the band (23) inside the opening expand.

La présente invention a trait, d'une part, à un assemblage de menuiserie en particulier d'un seuil (2) sur un dormant de porte, fenêtre ou analogue, dans lequel les montants (4, 5) du dormant sont rapportés sur le seuil (2) par des moyens de fixation (8) traversant des ouvertures (15) dans ce dernier. Cet assemblage de menuiserie est caractérisé en ce qu'il présente une bague d'étanchéité (23) prévue au niveau d'une ouverture (15) traversée par les moyens de fixation (8), ladite bague (23) comportant, d'une part, des moyens (24) pour assurer une étanchéité entre le seuil (2) et ladite bague (23) et, d'autre part, des moyens (25) pour limiter le contact des eaux de ruissellement collectées par le seuil (2) avec lesdits moyens de fixation (8). L'invention concerne, d'autre part, une bague d'étanchéité notamment destinée à un tel assemblage de menuiserie. <IMAGE>
