Abstract (en)
The integrated fuel and air feed for an ic-engine comprises an intake manifold having upper and lower members. The lower has air passages for the transfer of air from the manifold to the engine. There are fuel nozzle openings in communication with the air passages, and a fuel meter body mounting the upper member comprises an air plenum having a first opening configured to receive intake air through an associated throttle body and a second opening configured to receive a portion of a fuel meter body disposed in the fuel meter body mounting. The members are sealingly engageable along mating surfaces to enclose the air plenum. The integrated fuel and air system further comprises the fuel meter body having a top, sides and a bottom defining a fuel plenum between.
