[origin: DE4229923A1] The present invention relates to a process for producing metal closures to seal packaging containers in which a sealing compound is applied to the inside of the closures, which are stamped from metal sheets coated with at least one plastic film. In the process, a halogen-free solventless sealing compound is melted and applied to the inside of the closures. The present invention also concerns packaging containers with a closure made by the process of the invention.
