Two-part negative moulds for coreless moulding are formed using patterns which (as a consequence of their outer shape) cannot be separated from the mould in a straightforward, simple manner. Parts of the model preventing separation of the mould are removed; these parts are replaced by parts with an identical shape made of a material which during casting of the mould is neither deformed nor separated from the pattern. The material of the replaced pattern parts remains sufficiently soft not to damage the mould in the pattern removal process. As a consequence of the opposite effects of shrinkage of the moulding and expansion of the negative mould, a clearance (of the order of 5% in the case of clay mouldings) is produced which makes mould separation possible. The mould itself is also claimed.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung einer, insbesonere zweiteiligen, Negativform, beispielsweise Gipsform für kernloses Gießen, von einem Modell mit nicht durch einfache Formtrennung entformbarer Außengestalt. Dieses Verfahren ist vornehmlich gekennzeichnet durch das Abtragen der der Entformung durch Formtrennung hinderlichen Modellteile vom Modellkörper, das Nachbilden der abgetragenen Modellteile durch Auftragen und Modellieren einer formbaren, vorzugsweise nicht zu schnell aushärtenden, Formmasse auf dem Modellkörper, wobei die Formmasse, z.B. Plastilin, Kitt oder dgl., so beschaffen ist, daß sie einerseits beim darauffolgenden Eingießen des Modells in ein Material zur Herstellung einer Negativform weder deformiert noch vom Modellkörper abgelöst wird und andererseits zum Zeitpunkt des Herauslösens des Modells aus der entstandenen Negativform weich genug ist, um diese nicht zu beschädigen, das Eingießen des Modells in ein fließbares und aushärtbares Material, z.B. Gips, flüssigkeitsabsorbierender Kunststoff oder dgl., zur Herstellung einer Negativform, das Aushärten der aus genanntem Material gebildeten Negativform, das Trennen der Negativformteile, wodurch die von der Formmasse gebildeten nicht entformbaren Modellteile vom Modellkörper abgelöst werden und in den Negativformteilen verbleiben und das Entfernen der Formmasse aus den Negativformteilen. <IMAGE>
