Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0664368A2] The undercut bolt (12) slides on a guide (11) fixed to the leaf of the door or window and engages in a mating component (13) secured to the fixed frame so as to prevent hinging open. A cylinder lock (15) secures the bolt in the engaged position. The plate-shaped bolt completely covers the guide in the open position, and both this and the mating component in the engaged position. Both the guide and the mating component can have dovetail-shape protrusions over which the bolt fits. Components (19,20) working together on bolt and guide can limit movement of the bolt in either direction. The bolt can be spring-supported on the guide, and both the latter and the mating component can have fixing holes which are masked by the bolt in the engaged position.
