The silencer comprises an inner shell (30) consisting of at least two superimposed, inner plates, deep-drawn and forming at least one gas-conducting channel (33), an at least area-wise all-round edge (40), a housing shell (10) comprising at least two superimposed outer plates (17), deep-drawn and forming chambers, at least one inlet and outlet connection and at least one intermediate wall holding the inner shell in the housing shell. The edge (40) of the inner shell contacts the housing shell in the area of the housing flange (13). In the wall of the housing shell on both sides of the housing flange pairs of clamp components (16) are formed which clamp the edge of the inner shell.

Die Erfindung betrifft Schalldämpfer, bestehend aus einer Innenschale (30) aus zwei aufeinanderliegenden, tiefgezogenen Innenblechen, und einer Gehäuseschale (10) aus wenigstens zwei aufeinanderliegenden, tiefgezogenen Außenblechen (17, 18). Die Innenschale (30) besitzt einen umlaufenden Rand (40), die Gehäuseschale (10) einen umlaufenden Gehäuseflansch (13) mit einer die Gehäuseschale (10) verschließenden Falzverbindung (14). Der Rand (40) der Innenschale (30) ist so dimensioniert, daß er die Wand der Gehäuseschale (10) knapp berührt und nur zwischen Klemmsicken (16) der Gehäuseschale (10) federnd gehalten wird. <IMAGE>
