[origin: EP0664431A2] The firing device for artillery rockets has a firer frame for accommodation of the rockets, which in elevation is arranged pivotably on an upper gun carriage which, via an intermediate frame and a rotary crown, is pivotable in azimuth, being located on the vehicle under-frame. The pivot movement in elevation is effected by electro-mechanical lifting devices arranged between the upper gun carriage and the firer frame. The firing device, including the firer arm (3), the upper gun carriage (4), the intermediate frame and the rotary crown, is formed as an independent unit which, via locking devices operable from outside the vehicle and, if necessary, by electrical pin connections, is coupled to the vehicle under-frame.
