[origin: EP0664988A1] The pipe has an electrically insulated coil between the sections. Between the inner pipe (1) and outer pipe (2) is a hollow chamber (4) sealed at the ends and extending along the overlap distance. This contains the coil (5). One end (11) of the coil is fastened to the end of the inner pipe where it is overlapped by the outer pipe, and from there, a wire goes to a point (13) further down the pipe. The other end (17) of the coil is attached to the end of the hollow chamber on the outer pipe.
