Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0665036A1] The game system has a first game (1) which is an instantaneous one based on purchase of a winning or losing ticket (T1) with a bar code (D1) and concealed symbol (S1 or S2). Tickets are printed centrally (8) and retailed through authorised outlets. A winning ticket (T1g) gives access to the second game (2) played at a video terminal (10) which is linked (11) to a central computer (SC) and issues prizes (T2) requiring validation at a console (12) incorporating a bar code reader (13). The video game may involve numbered balls (b1, b2 etc.) within the range of a camera (15) connected to the display screen (E1).
