[origin: EP0665040A1] The frame, designed to support a swing or other apparatus, consists of a cross-beam (2) parallel to the supporting surface, joined to angled supports (3) at each end. Each of the end supports can be, for example, made from round-section tubing, having its upper end deformed into an inverted T-section, cut at an angle to fit against the cross-beam. The vertical branch or the T is in the form of a rib, while its crosspiece presses against the lower thrust face of the cross-beam. The two ends of the cross-beam are flattened to form intermediate and end sections, the latter being rectangular in shape to receive the inverted T-section ends of the supports.
