[origin: EP0665069A1] A process is claimed for planishing a thin metal strip (1) under traction in an installation comprising a planishing machine (3) incorporating at least one bending unit (30) with two planishing units (31,32) staggered in height and a dressing assembly of multi-rollers (5) on upper and lower frames (6,6') each carrying a row of rollers (51,51') that are parallel and staggered longitudinal and by height. Some means are provided to regulate the overlapping of the planishing units (31,32) and the dressing assembly (5) and two tensioning blocks (2,2') to determine the elongation imposed on the strip. Flatness are corrected in the planishing machine (3) by regulating the speed of defilement and the overlapping of the planishing units (31,32) and longitudinal camber defects are corrected in the multi-roller dressing assembly (5). The installation used is also claimed.
