[origin: EP0665121A1] The method uses a device (1) for binding together which has locators (3,4), above and along a collection channel (2), for end-papers (8,9) and locators (5-7) for printed sheets (10-12). All brought-together parts (8-12) form a book block (13), whereby the end-papers are intended as first and last parts. The brought-together parts are prepared as a loosely held together book block in a separating device (14) in a first step for the thread connection. Then the parts are secured on the rearward rabbet end by a pick-up (17) of a conveyor device (20) and via an auxiliary saddle (16) are transported past control devices (18) in the vicinity of the binding saddle (19).
