Abstract (en)
The component has a bearer layer (2) on predetermined peripheral sections which has at least one groove (14) and on other predetermined peripheral sections has a tongue (16) corresp. to the groove. The profile of the peripheral edge is so formed that adjacent floor components are brought together in the area of the bearer layer (2) and at least in the area of the cover layer (4) there is a sealing seam (20) of predetermined width. On being joined together, adjacent floor components locate with their groove and tongue, and over the groove/tongue connection a sealing seam of predetermined width is present. A sealing groove (22) is provided on the periphery of the cover layer over the groove and tongue.
