Abstract (en)
The appts. has two loudspeakers (5,6) which radiate vertically in opposite directions from a single acoustic enclosure (1) with airtight interior (12). They are driven in parallel via lines (8) from an amplifier (10). In the line to the downward-radiating speaker (5) a preferably coreless inductance (9) is inserted with a value chosen to suppress the medium and high frequencies. With speakers 10 cm in diameter the inductance may have a value of 7 mH. Advantageously both speakers may operate simultaneously in the band from 20 to 400 Hz, and the upper may be filtered between 400 Hz and 2 kHz according to the number of channels.

Appareil ou enceinte acoustique comportant au moins une paire de haut-parleurs (5, 6) agencés pour la reproduction des sons graves et extrêmes graves et montés dans un même coffret (1) en étant alignés sur un axe vertical, le haut-parleur du haut rayonnant vers le plafond tandis que celui du bas rayonne vers le sol ou plancher, les deux hauts-parleurs d'une paire étant fixés tête-bêche respectivement à deux extrémités opposées du coffret rempli d'un volume étanche d'air (12), le haut-parleur du bas étant séparé du sol, caractérisé en ce qu'au moins une self (9) est disposée dans la ligne d'alimentation du ou des hauts-parleurs orientés vers le bas pour supprimer sensiblement le passage des fréquences médiums, hauts-médiums et aigus. <IMAGE>
