Abstract (en)
The method, esp. for pre-stressing and hardening the inner surfaces of cavities, e.g. to receive turbine blade fixing pins, consists of blasting the cavity with shot set in motion by ultra-sound. The shot is made from balls of a pre-determined diameter, resonated by a vibrator (20) positioned adjacent to the orifice (25) of a cavity (24). The vibrator is in the shape of a pot with tapering and tubular (22) sections which is resonated at one of its own frequencies. It can be shaped so that its tip can be introduced slightly into the cavity or it can have a flange which abuts the end of the cavity, while the other end of the cavity is covered by a reflector (27) in the form of a metal plate to return the shot back to the cavity.

La présente invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif pour traiter la surface et mettre en précontrainte de compression la paroi intérieure d'une cavité, notamment d'une cavité cylindrique de section circulaire. Le dispositif comporte un vibrateur (20) en forme de pot pourvu d'une partie tubulaire (22) agencée pour être engagée dans un orifice (25) d'une cavité (24) à traiter. Elle est associée à un excitateur-vibreur (23) agencée pour exciter le vibrateur à sa fréquence de résonance. Le traitement est obtenu par de la grenaille sous forme de billes (29) qui sont projetées sur les parois de la cavité et renvoyées dans le champ de traitement par un réflecteur (27). Ce procédé s'applique notamment au traitement des trous destinés à recevoir des broches de fixation des pales d'une turbine. <IMAGE>
