Die Erfindung betrifft eine Schließvorrichtung für eine Waschmaschine, für einen Waschautomaten 1 und/oder für einen Trockner o. dgl. mit jeweils einem Maschinengehäuse 2, das eine Beladeöffnung 3 und eine die Beladeöffnung 3 verschließende Tür 4 o. dgl. umfasst, wobei ferner ein vorzugsweise an der Tür 4 angeordneter und in der Schließstellung mit seinem freien Ende 8 durch eine maschinengehäuseseitige Öffnung 7 greifender Schließkloben 6 vorgesehen ist, dem mindestens ein vorzugsweise im Maschinengehäuse 2 angeordnetes Verriegelungselment 9 zum Halten, Sichern und Freigeben zugeordnet ist. Der Kern der Erfindung liegt darin, daß die den Schließkloben 6 aufnehmende Öffnung 7 in einem Mundstück 12 angeordnet ist, daß das Mundstück 12 bezüglich seiner Lage und Anordnung versetzbar ist und daß das dem Schliekloben 6 zugeordnete Verriegelungselement 9 eine Haltefläche 11 mit an die wirksame Verstellbreite B des Mundstückes 12 angepasster Länge L aufweist. <IMAGE>
