[origin: EP0666620A2] The data network connector is configured in such a way that it can be readily adapted to a range of different networks. The connector has a housing that has a front end socket receiving a standard equipment plug. This connects with the contacts (7) of a DIL socket into which is plugged the adapter IC module (2). The socket is coupled to connecting contacts (11) that receive the wires of the network cable.
