[origin: WO9410045A1] A parallelepiped folding box (1) with shortened dust flaps (9, 10) and cover flaps (7, 8) is designed to provide a powder-tight closure of the folding box (1) using an imprint-free punched carton blank. This is accomplished in that at least the top-side dust flaps (9, 10) each have a punched slit (14, 15; 21, 22) starting from their longitudinal edge (12, 13) and either running obliquely up to about half the width (B4) of the dust flap (9, 10) - wherein the two punched slits (14, 15) in the folding box blank (2) angle in toward each other and the slant and distance from the lateral edges (16, 17; 18, 19) of the dust flaps (9, 10) are proportioned in such a way that when the folding box is closed the longitudinal edge (20) of the cover flap (7) first folded onto the dust flaps (9, 10) cuts both punched slits (14, 15) and covers them in the segment (14a, 15a) away from the longitudinal edge (12, 13) of the dust flaps (9, 10)- or running parallel to the lateral edges (16, 17; 18, 19) of the dust flaps (9, 10) up to about half the width (B4) of the dust flaps (9, 10) at a distance (A) which is slightly greater than the width (B1) of the cover flap (7) first folded onto the two dust flaps (9, 10).
