[origin: WO9410725A1] The cable connector proposed is surrounded by a screening housing (11) and has projecting retention shoulders (e.g. 13, 17) which are cut out from a separate metal sheet (19) and bent outwards. The retention shoulders project through slit-like apertures (20) in the screening housing (11). The size of the slit-like apertures (20) closely matches the cross-sectional shape of the retention shoulders so that the shoulders substantially close off the apertures, thus ensuring that screening is also completely effective in this zone.
