Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0667299A1] The container has a body (4) with a cylindrical neck (10) forming an opening and a cover (6) with a base (16) and cylindrical edge (18). An engagement system with a threaded action is provided on the neck and cylindrical edge. A seal (8) is provided separately between the cover and the edge of the opening. The seal has a rigid edge which co-operates with an abutment (38) provided in the cover in an axial direction after the thread has been disengaged. The seal has a circular groove (42) which contains a gasket (44) and the groove also has a base (45) which is directed towards the base of the cover and forms a contact surface (46) in contact with the contact face (47) of the cover. One of the contact faces is curved and the other is flat.
