An automatic harvesting machine has the produce fed into a chopping stage (3) where it is reduced into particles that can be transported (4) into an accelerator (6) for discharge through a duct (5) for collection. The accelerator has a blower with suction inlets. At the rear of the unit is the engine (14) and directly in front of this is a rotating filter (11). This passes in front of a housing (10) that is coupled to a suction duct (9). Particles and dust are continuously removed from the filter to allow air cooling of the engine to be continuously maintained.

Die vorliegende Erfindung beschreibt eine selbstfahrende Erntemaschine, beispielsweise einen Feldhäcksler (1), der in einfacher Weise so verbessert ist, daß die Reinigung der rotierenden Siebeinrichtung (11) für die Kühlluft des Motors (14) wesentlich verbessert wird. Zu diesem Zweck ist im Inneren des rotierenden Siebkorbes ein sich in Längsrichtung erstreckende Abschirmgehäuse (15) vorgesehen, das im Querschnitt halbkreisförmig ausgebildet ist. Dieses Abschirmgehäuse (15) ist einem äußeren Gehäuse (10) zugeordnet, durch das Luft abgesaugt werden kann. Das innere Abschirmgehäuse (15) ist gegenüber dem äußeren Gehäuse versetzt, so daß ein Eintrittsspalt entsteht, durch die vom Gehäuse (10) angesogene Luft zunächst einmal in das innere Abschirmgehäuse (15) gelangt, in diesem umgeleitet wird, und von dort durch die Öffnungen der rotierenden Siebeinrichtung (11) nach außen abgesogen wird. <IMAGE> <IMAGE>
