[origin: EP0667455A1] A double pump has a single inlet (A) for both pumps from which an inlet channel branches to both pump outlet openings. The inlet channel (2,3) has at least one opening (4,5,8,9) before and/or after the branch, leading to a chamber (6,7) or to side channel, and via which a vacuum is produced in the chamber or side channel. The internal of the non-running pump is connected to the chamber or side channel, so that air can be suctioned from the non-running pump. The internal portion of the pump is connected to the chamber or side channel via its suction opening (E) and at least one side opening (4,5).
