[origin: DE4343759A1] The ventilation fitting has a collecting channel in the ceiling of the room. The channel has an opening (10) running along its entire length, in which easily removable fittings such as separators (14), closing screens (13) or the like are fitted. In the vicinity of the channel opening, there are specially formed reinforcements in the form of edgings (12). These edgings are made in one piece from the material of the collecting channel and face into the channel space. The collecting channel may consist of at least two sections connected at an angle, chamfered to fit each other and welded together.
