Abstract (en)
The plug connector (1) has a housing (2). A contact carrier (6) has its plug-side end part protruding out of the housing (2). A wrap around nut (7) surrounds the plug side end part of the contact carrier (6) to screw the plug connector (1) to a counter plug connector. At least part of the end of the contact carrier (6) which extends out of the housing (2) is formed with a polygonal cross-section. The inner circumference of the wrap around nut (7) has at least one projection (11) in the region of the polygonal section. The projections are preferably two cams (11) at 180 degrees to each other.

Bei einem Steckverbinder mit einem Gehäuse und einem mit einem steckseitigen Endteil aus dem Gehäuse herausragenden Kontaktträger sowie einer das steckseitige Endteil des Kontaktträgers umfassenden Überwurfmutter zum Verschrauben des Steckverbinders mit einem mit diesem zusammensteckbaren Gegensteckverbinder, wird eine einfache und rüttelsichere Verschraubung einer Steckverbindung dadurch erreicht, daß wenigstens ein Teil des aus dem Gehäuse herausragenden Kontaktträgers im Querschnitt als Vieleck ausgebildet ist, und daß die Überwurfmutter auf einer Innenumfangsfläche wenigstens einen Vorsprung im Bereich des Vielecks aufweist. <IMAGE>
