[origin: EP0668108A1] A centrifugal separator which removes chaff and dust from broken grain comprising an initial separator of annular shape, bounded by the separator wall and the suction tube (3) whose inlet faces the collector (4). Laden air is fed tangentially into the initial separator from where it exits to the conical collector (4), except that suction tube (3) creates an obstruction between the two. An air vent (17) lies across the air flow, below the entry to suction tube (3). An air deflector (14), which reaches close to the casing, is attached to vent (17).
