Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0668436A1] The tappet comprises a coupling member (15) which has an associated locking element (37) acting with the valve shaft (10). In a defined cam path area, the locking element is released when the valve shaft has moved into a bore (19) of the coupling member. The coupling member is displaceable on a guide track. It is lifted approx. at right angles to it by the valve shaft. In one end position, the coupling member is locked by releasably engaging parts of the coupling member and the guide track.
