Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0668624A1] The two dielectric tubes (6,7) are placed near to a short circuited end wall (2) of a waveguide (1). The tubes are water filled, forming a U-shaped section along the back wall of the waveguide, with water flow through two side nozzles (10,11). The tubes are arranged so as to propagate waveguide circular waves and produce losses. The design of the diameter of the tube, from a knowledge of the propagation laws, allows for compensation for frequency and temperature changes.
