[origin: DE4428177A1] The invention can be used on winding machines with a driving-roller drive of the bobbin. Drive devices of this type possess in each case a motor for the driving roller and for the traversing, with coupling and bearing points for these working members. In order to minimise the space requirement, whilst at the same time saving constructional elements, the motors are accommodated in a common drive housing which, moreover, is designed so that the working members can be fastened to it. Furthermore, means are provided on the housing for displacing it when the bobbin diameter increases.
