[origin: EP0669160A1] The stirring housing (2) has a top cover (4), fitting on its base (3) and forming the platform (7) for the stirrer vessel. The drive magnet (6) and motor (5), also its speed control and electrical connections, are all mounted on the base. The cover (4) is glass; its edge (8) presses on the base (3) seating (9). In use, the edge and its seating are horizontal, or parallel to the platform.
