Abstract (en)
The strut comprises a lower tube (12) at the end of which slides an upper external tube (10). The upper tube has an internal body (30) which slides along a central rod (20) extending from the lower tube. A spring (40) acts between the end of the lower tube and the internal body. The lower tube has a length between 0.5 and 1.2 m and the upper sliding tube a length of about 1.2 m. These tubes have an external diameter between 20 and 50 mm for a thickness between 1 and 4 mm. Temporary locking of the internal body to the rod, with the spring compressed, is by means of a tumbler (60) which passes radially through the internal body.

Un étai comprend au moins un tube inférieur (12) à l'extrémité duquel coulisse un tube supérieur (10). Le tube supérieur (10) est externe, et il comprend un corps interne (30) solidaire qui coulisse le long d'une tige centrale (20) prolongeant le tube inférieur. Un moyen élastique (40) agit entre l'extrémité du tube inférieur et le corps interne. Un dispositif (32,60,62,64) permet de verrouiller provisoirement le corps interne (30) à la tige (20) en une position telle que le moyen élastique soit comprimé. <IMAGE>
