Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0669444A1] The shutter is made from a series of linked vanes designed to run in slideways. Each vane (1) has a basic trapezoid cross-section, with its two shorter sides (4,5) equipped with female (10) and male (15) coupling elements. The male element is joined to the side of the vane by a coextruded strip (14) of a supple, non-stretch material. The smaller base (3) of the vane has a concave curved surface, and the larger one has a lengthwise rib (6) pointing inwards. The vane is made by extrusion e.g. from a plastics material such as PVC.
