The point (1) has a head portion (3) with one or more cutting edges (2, 5'), and a foot portion (4) of geometry matching that of a mounting groove (6) in the bit. The foot portion has a cross-section wider at least in parts than that of the head portion, and typically widening in a cone and of dovetail-section. Alternatively it can be part-circular. There can be a section (8) of constant cross-section between the head and foot portions.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Hartmetallplatte für Bohrwerkzeuge, insbesondere für Gesteinsbohrer, mit einem mindestens eine Schneidkante tragenden Kopfteil und einem der Geometrie einer Aufnahmenut im Bohrwerkzeug angepaßten Fußteil, wobei das Fußteil einen Querschnitt aufweist, der gegenüber dem Maximalquerschnitt des Kopfteils mindestens teilweise erweitert ist. Der erfindungsgemäße Gesteinsbohrer besitzt in seinem Bohrkopf mindestens eine hinterschnittene Aufnahmenut, die mit den vorgenannten Hartmetallschneidplatten bestückt ist, welche vorzugsweise durch Verlöten in der Aufnahmenut befestigt sind und deren in die Aufnahmenut eingesetzter Teil einen der Geometrie der hinterschnittenen Nut angepaßten Querschnitt aufweist. <IMAGE>
