[origin: EP0669469A1] The drive mechanism comprises a housing with a drive piston. The drive piston is connected to a drive shaft which transmits the reciprocal movement of the piston into a rotary motion. A second pivoting piston (12) mechanically coupled to the driving one forms the brake piston (140) in a hydraulic brake system, and works in a displacement chamber (17) separate from the housing chamber (16) and containing the brake fluid. The two pistons can be mounted in succession in the axial direction and coaxially, being mounted on a common shaft (8) forming the output shaft. The two chambers can be contained in a common multi-part and preferably block-shaped housing.
