Abstract (en)
The firebox has a transparent window in its front face to allow the flames to be observed, and a lengthwise chamber (1) with a top plate (2), two vertical walls (3,4) and a bottom plate. The edge of the bottom plate is angled downwards and forms, together with a projection on the wall above it, a passage which directs air downwards over the inner surface of the transparent window. Above the air guide passage the firebox has a cylindrical damper (15) with an air intake (17) to control the rate of air flow.

L'invention concerne un foyer à combustible solide ou liquide équipé sur une des faces délimitant la chambre de combustion, en l'occurence la face antérieure, d'une fenêtre en un matériau transparent permettant d'observer les flammes, caractérisé en ce que la face antérieure précitée est équipée de moyens dirigeants du haut vers le bas et sous la forme d'un rideau ayant sensiblement la largeur de la fenêtre précitée, un air coulis capté à l'extérieur du foyer et dirigé dans la chambre de combustion le long du côté intérieur de la fenêtre précitée. <IMAGE>
