A rubber or resin-bonded flexible permanent magnetic foil has, on one or both sides, a coating of a fluoroethylene-vinyl ether copolymer ('Teflon', RTM). Prodn. of the above foil involves (a) mixing the copolymer with a hardener and a solvent; (b) applying the mixt. to the foil surface by means of an applicator roll, brush or the like; and (c) hardening.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Gummi- oder kunstharzgebundene, flexible Dauermagnetfolie in Band- oder Plattenform mit ein- oder beidseitiger Beschichtung, die dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, daß die Schicht aus einem Fluoroethlene-Vinylether Copolymer (als "Teflon" eingetragenes Warenzeichen) besteht. Die Erfindung betrifft ferner ein Verfahren zur Herstellung einer derartigen Folie. Das Verfahren besteht darin, daß das Fluoroethlene-Vinylether Copolymer mit einem Härtungsmittel und einem Lösungsmittel gemischt wird, welches auf die Oberfläche einer gummi- oder kunstharzgebundenen Magnetfolie durch Aufstreichenen mittels Walzen, Pinsel od. dgl. aufgebracht und anschließend einem Erhärtungsvorgang unterworfen wird.
